King County Police Officers Guild Political Endorsement Request

Thank you for your interest in an endorsement from the King County Police Officers Guild. KCPOG will consider request for endorsements from local races such as the King County Council or City Councils from municipalities that contract for police services from the King County Sheriff’s Office. KCPOG is affiliated with the Washington Council of Police and Sheriff’s, if you are seeking an endorsement for office outside of King County you should contact WACOPS.

If you are a first-time candidate, have not previously received our endorsement, or running for a different office than the one for which you previously received our endorsement, you will need to complete a candidate questionnaire and go through the interview process with our Political Action Committee.

If you are running as an incumbent and we endorsed you for that office, you need only send us a letter outlining your record as it relates to issues of mutual concern and requesting our endorsement. Our PAC will then review the request and either make a recommendation based upon it or ask for additional documentation and / or an interview.

Please note, the normal endorsement process takes about two months. To receive a candidate questionnaire please contact the Guild Secretary/Treasurer, Jack Hornstein at jack@kcpog.com.
